Field tools that work when the network doesn't.

Metis Dynamics builds rugged, self-contained tools for search and rescue, public safety and field crews. Simple to deploy. Private by design. Priced for small budgets.

How MAK stays connected Concept
  1. Cellular No service Used whenever it is available.
  2. Command post network Out of range The Puck creates its own local network and serves the maps.
  3. Long-range mesh radio Carrying positions Body-worn radios with their own GPS, for when everything else is down.
If every link drops, phones store positions and deliver them, newest first, when a connection returns.

MAK

Metis Asset Kit

A turnkey blue-force tracking and command-and-control kit for search and rescue teams and public safety agencies.

MAK shows commanders where every team member is in real time, and it keeps working when cellular service fails. It deploys out of a case. There are no servers to administer, no certificates and no IT project.

Offline operation needs no subscription. MAK is in active development and field testing.

The Puck
A rugged, vehicle-mounted edge server. It creates its own local network at the command post and hosts the maps, with no internet needed.
Mesh radios
Body-worn, long-range radios with their own GPS, so positions keep moving when phones have no signal.
Phone apps
iPhone and Android apps, with maps stored on the phone.

MTK

Metis Timekeeper

A personal time-tracking app for one person: log your hours, remember why a shift ran long, and produce a time card for payroll or a supervisor.

Start or end a shift with one tap or a spoken sentence. When a shift runs late, Timekeeper asks why and keeps the answer with the overtime. Mileage comes from odometer readings, not GPS tracking.

No accounts, no ads, no company server. Your records live on your phone. Try it free for 30 days, then choose a plan.

Future capabilities

What comes next

Two more lines of work are planned. Neither is available yet, and we will not publish details until they are real.

Passive RF
Passive radio-frequency detection and cybersecurity tools, for detection and awareness only.
Rugged parts
Enclosures, mounts and components for public safety and military users.

How we build

  • Works offline

Every tool survives a lost connection. No single point of failure.

  • Simple under stress

Usable by a stressed operator with zero training.

  • Private

No ads and no tracking. Data stays with the user or the agency.

  • Honest pricing

Core functions never require a subscription. Prices a small budget can meet.

  • Field-ready hardware

Rugged equipment, built to keep cost down.

  • Only what is needed

Build the necessary thing, make it reliable, and leave out the rest.

Built by someone who needed it

Metis Dynamics is a small, founder-led company. Its founder is a working public safety professional and former U.S. Marine Corps intelligence analyst who builds the tools he wished he had in the field.

The people doing the hardest work are often stuck with tools that cost too much, need an IT department, or stop when the signal does. We build the alternative.

Agencies, partners, grant administrators and press are all welcome.
